Rare 1969 Montreal Expos First Season Pennant

$80

Vintage 1969 Montreal Expos Baseball first season pennant in near mint condition. This officially licensed original pennant measures approximately 30" by 12". No noticeable flaws, and no pin holes.

The Montreal Expos brought Major League Baseball to the city in 1969 as the league’s first franchise outside the United States; their name nodded to Expo 67. They played in Montreal for 36 seasons, with stars like Gary Carter, André Dawson and Tim Raines, before relocating to Washington in 2005 and becoming the Nationals.

Visit while in Montreal: Parc Jarry. The Expos played at Jarry Park Stadium from 1969 to 1976. The ballpark site is now IGA Stadium, but the surrounding city park is open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight. Take a walk through the park and along Rue Gary-Carter, named for the Expos’ Hall of Fame catcher.
